The little things to be greatful for

When I was in 6th grade my teacher brought a list to school. It was very long and she explained the story behind it and what it was. She told us when she was just a little bit younger then us she was on a train and an old man wrote the whole ride. Be just kept writing. At the end of the very long bus ride she asked him what he had been writing. He said to her when he was young he started a list of things that make him happy. Things we normally skip right over without thinking about them or being thankful for them, so she started a list. She read some of the things on her list (the sound of crunching fall leaves, finding hidden treasures in old jacket pockets) and then told us we should start one too because whenever she's sad or angry she reads these things and it makes her feel better to think of the things that make her happy :) this is my list. I'll be posting one a day from my journal......where's your list?
